Great infopgraphic by hojoki:
With our latest integration, Mendeley, Hojoki now supports the complete tool stack used by researchers and students every day. We created an infographic to show what this can look like. Next to Mendeley, it includes our integrations of Dropbox, Google Docs, Evernote, Delicious and Google Reader.
You’re free to use the infographic and it would be great to see you sharing it with the world!
Hojoki is a very unique collaboration tool, that integrates your various cloud apps in form of a news stream. A description of the app can be found on my “modern-productivity”-Blog.
For all details on current developments and integrations, I recommend their Tumblr-Blog.
I love those “habit-lists”. This is Forbes’ “Hall of Shame” for recent failures of several CEOs categorized by 7 bad habits.
It was said by Evernote’s CEO Phil Libin that “To-Do lists are coming”. I have recently found out that the iOS developer MindsMomentum, the developer of Egretlist and Egretlinks, had been bought by Evernote last year. Egretlist is a dedicated task manager for Evernote which synchronizes notes with checkboxes. Maybe this gives you a first impression, how the Evernote TODO app could look like.
That reminds me of Stephen Coveys “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People®”. This list has good real-life examples from Mark Zuckerbergs life / facebook.
Desk In The Clouds is a tool, that offers a total new way of looking at your Evernote notes. When you login with your Evernote account, all your notes can be put on your desk and arranged like sheets of paper. These notes can then be resized, rotated and colored the way you want.
The German developer won the student price at 2011s Evernote Developer Competition. His introduction video can be seen here.
You can find a detailed description of the app on my Blog.
On Zendone you can sign up for the private beta. They call themselves “a beautiful productivity tool for Getting Things Done®” and integrate fluently with Evernote and Google Calendar. I am a Beta user for a few weeks now and do my task management completely on Zendone.
For one, I like their concept of “using the right tool for the right job”, i.e. a dedicated task manager, an application for notes and reference material (Evernote) and a calendar for all time-related data (GoogleCalendar). Additionally in my opinion it is one of the best desktop-like web applications I have ever used.
So, just use Zendone, help them finish the product and let them eventually release a great end product.
You can find my full review on the Beta version here.
The Code Academy offers a possibility to learn programming for free. I am already working as a web developer and was just checking, whether I could forward it to others. Nevertheless I was really excited about the way the content is presented. I would recommend it as a great way to get a basic knowledge of programming, even in other languages. A new course is sent every week, so start today.
